Soil Week 2026

The Soil Weeks initiative for 2026 begins with a kick-off webinar that will introduce the SOLO project and what is to be expected from this year’s events within the series.

Following the launch webinar, several partner institutions will host half-day events from 21 to 24 April. These sessions cover two main topic groups:

1️⃣ The economy, the societal impact of soil health, sustainable land use, soil management, livelihoods, and soil stewardship.

2️⃣ Soil monitoring, the drivers of soil health, policy and planning, and soil processes.

The sessions, led by the respective partners, will be spread across four days as per below:

📅 21 April: University of Évora, Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU), and University of Trento.

📅 22 April: Lund University and National Observatory of Athens (NOA).

📅 23 April: Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF)PensoftNational Resources Institute Finland (LUKE), and Netherlands Institute of Ecology (NIOO).

📅 24 April: University of AntwerpInstitute of Advanced Studies Kőszeg (iASK), and Leitat Technological Centre (Leitat).
