Advancing Soil Restoration in the Global South
As part of the Soil Week 2026 initiative, the University of Antwerp (UAntwerpen), supported by FIT Flanders, will host workshops and discussions throughout the whole Soil Week 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya. The events will focus on advancing soil restoration through international cooperation and dialogue.
Policymakers, scientists, and practitioners will identify ways to reduce the EU's global soil footprint, supporting the objectives of the EU Soil Mission. The sessions will highlight the economic value of healthy soils and their essential role in food security, community well-being, and sustainable development.
