On 23 - 25 April 2024, SOLO held a face-to-face general project meeting in Wageningen, the Netherlands, hosted by our partner NIOO-KNAW. The event was attended by around 30 project partners from various European countries.
Firstly, SOLO's work package (WP) leaders presented the progress of their WPs in the last 18 months as well as the work plan for the upcoming months. The work packages include:
- WP 1 - Project management and coordination
- WP 2️ - Soil Mission Think Tanks
- WP 3️ - Drivers of soil health
- WP 4️ - Roadmaps integration
- WP 5️ - Operational framework
In the afternoon, the meeting focused on an interactive coaching session for our Think Tank leaders and members, followed by a session on defining knowledge gap types and bottlenecks.

The next days included various training and interactive sessions, focused on communication, facilitation and techniques to work with with stakeholders, as well as a reflection on the project-organised events, called "Soil Weeks".
Overall, the meeting was a great experience with many fruitful discussions, exchange of ideas and productive workshops. SOLO will meet again in-person in November 2024 in Bulgaria, along with multiple project stakeholders from various European countries.
