In line with the strategy of the EU Mission "A Soil Deal for Europe", there is a need to engage non-academic stakeholders in identifying solutions to the problem of soil erosion and in its prevention and mitigation. 

SOLO's roadmap "Preliminary assessment of the knowledge gaps to prevent soil erosion" serves as a platform to underscore the existing knowledge gaps that should be considered in the future research and innovation agenda of the EU to attain the set target.
