On Tuesday 27th of January 2026, the Achterhoek region in the Netherlands hosted its third Regional Nodes workshop. The event took place at De Brummenaer in Brummen, which is an innovative organic dairy farm currently making the transition to biodynamic farming.

A total of 14 participants gathered for the session, bringing together a wide range of local perspectives, representing landowners, farmers, foresters, local authorities, researchers, civil society organisations, and the business and finance sectors.

Throughout the day, the attendees worked together to assess the practical actions needed to address the top three knowledge gaps linked to the three priority mission objectives in the Achterhoek.

The workshop ended with two engaging talks followed by an outdoor activity. Wim van der Putten delivered a presentation on the implications of the Soil Monitoring Law for the Netherlands, with contributions from Environmental Law scientist Edwin Alblas. The regional farm consultancy company Healthy Soil BV then presented perspectives on rethinking soil health, which included an emphasis on the Albrecht method. 

The event concluded with a guided excursion across the farm grounds.
