One of the objectives of the EU Mission A Soil Deal for Europe “Reduce the EU global footprint on soils” adds the international dimension to the other mission objectives, which are almost entirely focused on improving soil health and soil functioning in the European Union.

In response, SOLO's Think Tank "Footprint on Soils" developed the roadmap "Preliminary assessment of the knowledge gaps to reduce the EU global footprint on soils". This document aims to explore the knowledge gaps in regard to reducing the EU's global footprint on soils.
